Action is about the process of doing something to accomplish a particular goal. Every movement is performed by carrying out the plan that one has made. If you want to do something or have something, you must formulate a plan to achieve your goal. Planning is not the end phase—you must work on it with all you've got to make your plan work and achieve your goal.
In life, we often encounter challenges and difficulties that demand action. Whether it's our dreams, making important decisions, or confronting our fears, action is the key to progress and success. However, many individuals struggle with taking that crucial first step.
……….
Most of us wake up each morning with obligations on our shoulders—different responsibilities that necessitate effort or action. It might be our job, family, studies, relationships, hobbies, etc. Those obligations come with an endless series of life activities. As individuals, we strive to balance those aspects of our lives and should not allow them to fall apart.
The concept of "running in a circle of chores" resonates with many individuals in today's fast-paced world. It often feels like we are constantly caught up in a never-ending cycle of tasks and responsibilities. Whether it is pursuing our dreams, fulfilling daily exercises, or meeting personal and professional obligations, the reality is that achieving our goals requires time and effort.
It happened to me when I was in college. I had to balance my school obligations with my personal life, demanding different actions and consuming most of my time. It is a hardship balancing your life activities that must be put together. I have been doing trial and error every time to handle those things.
During those times, we are frequently caught in a cycle of overthinking, dissecting every possible consequence, and then doing nothing. However, it is critical to recognize that inaction has repercussions—we miss out on opportunities for growth, personal development, and reaching our goals by failing to act.
One of the things I've learned regarding this matter is that action is a must. Whatever the reason, you must gather your inspiration, courage, and strength and take the first step.
Every day, we know in ourselves that we must stand up in our comfort beds to do what we are meant to do. We should do those duties and responsibilities that may affect our goals and dreams, not only because we need to, but because we want to—you have to make it your desire. You must tell yourself, "I want to do this!" It is one of the steps to making your dreams come true and achieving your goal. You cannot attain your goals if you continue to lie down and daydream or plan all day long about the methods we'll use to make them happen.
Our dreams and goals will only be possible if we execute our plans. According to Charles Sanders Pierce's pragmatism, "there must be connectivity between idea and action; we should put our ideas in action." He also stated that "ideas are clear and distinct only when we can translate them into meaningful action." Following that principle... Planning is nothing if we plan and leave our dreams in that planning phase.
To achieve our dreams and goals, we must take action to make them possible. A plan doesn't have value if it doesn't have a use. We should stop doubting ourselves and make the plan work to make everything happen as we want.
Actions are significant to reaching your goals, especially those daily activities or tasks that are a gateway to attaining your goals and dreams. And it requires a sheer force of will for you to do that.
Furthermore, you should be aware that every action you have taken and will continue to take does not always result in a great outcome. There is still a probability of a negative result, and it is okay—yes, it may work, but at least you tried. And from that outcome, you will learn. You can learn from it to do something better next time.
The concept of "one day or day one" also plays a role in the scene, which means it is our choice if we will commence our plans tomorrow or today.
I suggest that you start taking action right now.
Why would you let every moment and day pass by and wait until tomorrow? If you execute those plans right now, maybe some of you think that you can't; others may say that it is not as easy as it looks or as easy as you can spell your name—yes, it is not easy to do it. Sometimes, you will feel such laziness that it pulls you down. You may also experience a lack of motivation and barriers to doing so. However, remember why you made that plan in the first place, despite those circumstances. Remind yourself of your inspirations, the responsibilities entrusted to you, your vision, and so on. Always see through all the hardships and put your eyes on the price.
This principle can be applied in your daily life. It could be your job, family, school, relationships, passion, or anything else that entails meaningful actions. Formulating a plan is always required, especially if your future is involved. However, always remember that planning is not the end of the process. Getting those plans you are working on into meaningful actions is more important.
To begin with, it helps us gain valuable experience and learn from our mistakes. By acting, we expose ourselves to new situations and challenges, allowing us to expand our knowledge and develop skills that would otherwise be dormant. Second, activity generates momentum. We begin a positive cycle of progress and achievement once we take that first step. Each action becomes smoother, and momentum builds, propelling us ahead. Finally, action produces outcomes. Without action, dreams and aspirations remain mere fantasies. It is only through action that we can turn our dreams into reality.
At the end of this discussion, I hope that you will act with the aspiration to reach your goals and dreams.
"Every morning you only have two choices; continue sleep with your dreams or wake up and chase them."
